Hi!
I'm looking for opinions (especially from people who have been or are in nursing school!)
Here is my situation: I am in my last pre-requisite for nursing school now. I still need to take Anatomy 2, but it is considered a co-requisite. So you CAN take it with the nursing program! A lot of people are telling me NOT to take it with the nursing program because of the work in the program. I would take it in the summer, however, no good teachers are offered for it so far (I had a bad experience with my first A&P professor, and don't want to repeat that.) Next fall is what I originally planned to apply for. I am wondering if I should wait another semester and get the rest of my co-reqs out of the way in the fall. I plan to take Science & Nutrition over the summer, but I have 4 other co-reqs left, including Anatomy and the Lab.
Another thing is, I am getting married in December! I am wondering if I am putting too much on my plate by applying for the fall. I really want to get in badly and as soon as possible, but I don't want to fail out by putting too much on my plate. It's also possible I could take A&P with a so-so professor over the summer, or take just the lab with science and nutrition.
I don't know what I should do.
Should I wait, or should I go for it and tough it out?
What is your experience? Would it be too much work to do the program in the fall with anatomy and plan a wedding?
I am am stressing over this!
Thanks everyone.

A&P2 AND planning a wedding AND 1st semester nursing.. personally I would recommend to wait. But keep in mind that life happens every day and sure enough something else will come up -- there usually is no perfect time.. only you can make that decision.
Best of luck.

I'd wait.
Best of luck to you!

I'd wait as well. It's better to take your time and get an A rather than rush and get mediocre grades when you know that you could have done better. From what I hear, nursing school is already very intense because of clinicals. So cramming Anatomy 2 , your clinical hours, and your nursing classes might not be a good idea.
