Shoreline CC - nursing course question

Published

Hi.

I'm going to go to Shoreline CC in this fall, and I have some questions about the nursing course at SCC.

1. Are students be accepted right after they submit an application to the nursing department? Or is there a waiting list?

2. If students attend the school full time, can they finish the course in about three years?

I am in my last year of the nursing program. The program itself takes 6 quarters. The pre reqs can take a year if you really push yourself and you don't have to repeat any classes. The volunteer portion of the application process can also be worked in. I volunteered at the Blood Center. After you submit an application, you are either accpeted, an alternate (if someone who was accepted decides not to go) or not accepted. They do not have a waitlist.
