Hi everyone I'm looking for opinions on great comfy nursing shoes. I'm ready to invest and looking for input from those with happy feet :)
I'm also interested in opinions on stethoscopes. I have trouble with many brands earplugs - so wondering if anyone has any tips on options (maybe gel)? Is there a brand out there more nurses prefer?
Any other tips for equipment or things that just make your job easier or more comfortable? Ie: pressure stockings .....
Thanks for any and all tips ... from a soon to be newbie!

There are already lots of threads on these topics. If you use the search function you will find them. You can also go to the Nursing Student forum an find a sticky labelled 'items you need for nursing school.'

Hi Mybelle,
I have a problem with my stethoscope, too. The ear pieces that came with the stethoscope had holes that were too small. I couldn't hear well enough to take a manual BP. I bought ear pieces with bigger holes and tried those on the stethoscope. Problem solved!
I'm not sure what your problem with the ear piece is, but you might want to try switching them instead of buying a whole new stethoscope.

When I got my fancy Littman, it came with several earpieces. Maybe you can get them a la carte, if you will?
