Hey guys, I know there are many threads about this, but I am still seeking answers
I will be starting a job next week in a very busy ER... What shoes would you recommend?
I am actually curious if running is feasible in Danskos, as I hear they are comfortable but I am pretty sure I will be running often :)
I'm also curious about Alegrias as well. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

I have alegrias. I love how they are flat unlike danskos. I've run in them and it wasn't horrible. I work in assisted living so I have ran from one side of the building upstairs to the other without a problem.

I just bought a pair of greys anatomy shoes. Really like them. Like them better than my danskos. Also, plain old running shoes are pretty good. I have three pair of those I alternate with the greys anatomy shoes

comfortable supportive shoes, preferably. I'm sure you well know that everyone has different shaped feet. some are flat footed, others have high arches. What works for one might not work for another.
Personally, I need good arch support, and a low heel, plus I must have a shoe that is secure on my feet! No Crocs for me, but I love shoes like Keens.

I wear Nike running shoes. I tried clogs and stepped right out of one while emergently pushing a stretcher.
That is my fear!!

I go between Alegria's and sneakers....I'm not an ED nurse but I do plenty of running up and down the floor.

I've got very sensitive feet. I've tried alegria, danskos, crocs, landau, nike, you name it...which have all left my feet and calves sore, burning, and aching. What has finally worked so far for my wide feet is SKECHERS Relaxed Fit.

Dansko or sanitas here, never have any tired feet. I work NICU and am constantly moving.

I was floated to the ER on a regular basis. I always wore Danskos because of the support and the all leather factor. Didn't want anything seeping into my regular tennis shoes. I wear regular tennis shoes now at the clinic I work at but if I'm assisting in the OR I put my Danskos on.
I noticed that since I'm not up walking as much when I worked ER or the floors they tend to pinch more. Otherwise I would wear them in the clinic too.
