Shift differentials at a LTC facility?

Published

I have been working for about 2 months at an LTC facility as a CNA and when i was hired on as 3rd shift, I was led to believe that I would receive a shift differential on weekends plus working nights. Now they are telling me that you only get a shift differential if you work EVERY weekend!!! Are the even allowed to do this? Also, I am pre nursing, and would it look bad to leave a healthcare job after a few months to go to something better or would it just look good that I have experience in the healthcare field? Thank you :)

I work in a hospital...everyone from rns to dietary get 2.00 for weekend an extra 2.00 for second shift and 3.50 for third shift...and first shift since they dont get any differentials receive two half hour breaks
