SHARP 2023 Summer New Grad

Published

I am starting this chat for those who applied for Sharp's new grad program beginning this Summer, 2023.

I submitted my app a few days ago! What unit did you apply for?

Just submitted mine! For Grossmont MICU

Specializes in nursing new grad.

Hi, thanks for starting this thread ?

Where do we select our top 2 specialty choices? In our cover letter and/or in the application?

Good luck to everyone!

You select your 2 choices in your application.

I just submitted my app for SMB and SGH! Are you all able to view your entire application with the answers to your free response questions?

I was wondering the same! I am also not able to view my typed response to questions. I just see a short version of my application.

Also- I attended the virtual info session via Microsoft teams app this past Friday but my chat box was not working for some unknown reason. I heard the speakers shared their contact info with everyone in the chat. Would someone be able to direct message me via inbox the email of the main host and the contact info at Sharp Grossmont Hospital? (don't want to mention names for their privacy). Thank you!!

I applied yesterday. I just realized in the directions it says not to upload certifications but I did anyway. So hopefully they don't ding me for that LOL.

Do you guys happen to know the timeframe of when we are supposed to hear back? :)

During the informational meeting they said that we won't hear anything for at least 3 weeks after the application closes. After about 3 weeks, our apps will be sent to the individual hiring departments at whatever hospital we applied to and from there I think it depends on the specific hospital. It looks like last year's cohort started hearing back around the end of March, so hopefully it's the same for us!

Do you guys know if it's a holistic review?

Also, did they happen to mention how long they want the short essay to be at the virtual event?

Hello! Just applied for Grossmont OB and Oncology PCU.

March seems so far away ? Good luck to all!
