Sharp NICU New Grad

Published

Did anyone apply for the new grad training at Sharp Mary Birch? If so, did you get the email to complete the screening?

I applied on Wednesday the 3rd but haven't received an email for screening. What kind of screening did it include?

I applied and did receive an email for screening. We'll see! Good luck!

When did you apply? Do you think they sent the screening to everyone or was it like a next step kind of thing?

I got it about a week after I applied so maybe you will get one. It's just a bunch of questions you have to answer.

I applied too on July 1st and got an email with the supplemental screening form the very next day. Once I emailed it back though I got an automated response from the recruiter's email saying that the office was closed July 4-7th and will re-open on the 8th. Hopefully that helps some of you out who are wondering.

Hope we hear something soon!!! Good luck everyone. :nurse:

I applied on 6/30 and received the screening on 7/1. I don't know if they sent it to everyone or not, unfortunately. In the past, I've received similar screenings for other programs from other hospitals, which have only been sent out to a select number of people who applied, but this situation could be different. I'm wondering too!

I applied on the 5th and haven't received anything yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Why do you think it was posted so late, if it's for an August start date?

I was wondering that too. Their apps opened in march for the other units so maybe this one was just a last minute add on or something?

Is everyone that applied NRP certified?

I'm NRP certified. While I have not received the email questionnaire yet, I am PALS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certified. I also have my RN license BUT it's CO, not CA, and I'm thinking if they hire locals first like UCSD seems to, then I'm out of luck.

Sharp and memorial hires locals first, but I wouldn't say ucsd does the same. New grads in my unit are from everywhere past couple of years. A couple of new grads from sdsu whom are volunteering has said the same.
