Congrats on the interview! It was a very quick interview, maybe 15 mins. It was with the manager, new grad program coordinator, and one of the CNSs on the unit. They just asked basic behavioral questions. They asked why nursing, how do you handle stressful situations, why do you want to work on that unit, career goals. I can't remember the other ones but they were all pretty common questions.

Good luck!

how long did it take for you to get the email after you got the offer?

I posted on FB and someone said a friend of theirs has an interview for nicu coming up (?) but that is the only person I've heard possibly being contacted for NICU.  I sent an email to ask if they can update us with a timeline to hear back and I'll post here if they respond.

I emailed this morning about application status n all that. I attached the response haha so I guess within next four weeks? Even though the start date was September haha

Thanks for the update.  I never got a response to my email LOL.  I guess a few more weeks of wondering.

Ugh haha. I did hear Rady’s Children’s Hospital is supposed to be opening apps this week. So there’s another option to apply to ?

I interviewed on Wednesday and got a phone call on Friday with a verbal offer. I got an email today with "new hire" instructions but I'm an internal candidate so the process is a little different since it's a transfer.

Good luck to those who applied and are interviewing! Has anyone else been offered a position on 4E?!

Awesome! Do you know how that floor is? Did you take night or day?

I was offered days! I've never worked at Grossmont Hospital so I don't know anything about the floors LOL.

Did you have previous healthcare experience before applying? Looking for ways to increase my odds.

I’ve floated there as an NA and it is fast paced and can be a heavy load some days, but everyone who works there is nice and very helpful even when everyone gets super busy.

Yes, I was a CNA for 1.5 years during nursing school, but not for Sharp. I'm currently a Vaccination Tech for Sharp so I was able to apply as an internal candidate. I think previous healthcare experience is definitely a plus!
