Sharp New Grad Nurse Residency Summer 2021

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi I just wanted to start a thread for this! Is anyone applying?

I applied too! r u guys internal or external applicants?

Hi Everyone!  I applied, and I am an internal applicant/have worked at Sharp for about a year. Had about 252 externship hours in the MICU at a different hospital (outside SD county).  Applied to SGH MICU and also SCVMC. From what I hear, SCVMC will have new grad rotations, meaning new grads will be floated to a few units to be trained on those floors.

Also, good luck to everyone too! ?

Hi! Has anyone been contacted for an interview yet? Good luck to everyone! ?

External! I live about 2.5 hours north of San Diego

Hi y'all. I spoke with 4 of the PCU managers at SCVMC last week, and they informed me that "rotations" isn't actually a rotation or float style position. They said that it's just how it gets put down for the application. They said it will be a panel interview with most of the PCU/tele/MS managers and they will ask for your preference during or after the interview.

Keeping my fingers crossed to hear back sooner rather than later! Good luck, everyone!

has anyone heard back?

Nothing on my end!

Applied and still waiting to hear back

Haven’t heard anything yet

For anyone that applied to Chula, do you know what MedSurg/PCU/Tele "Rotations" means? Are they only hiring in float or are there other floors also hiring?

From what I've heard it's float pool then at the end of the residency you can request your preference but they'll place you wherever you're needed most.

nothing here either! im an external applicant from out of state
