Anyone else out there getting ready to apply?

Which track did you guys choose?

I chose Sharp Memorial Residency.

Darn it. Me too. Night shift though. Where did you precept?

I precept in the PCU at Scripps memorial

You guys have such an advantage over us out-of-towners. lol What was it like in Scripps vs Sharp? What about UCSD?

Most of my clinical rotations were at Scripps so I don't really know about Sharp or UCSD. They are all amazing hospitals. I heard great things from all of them. I have friends working at UCSD and Sharp and they all like it. I am not sure how much that will help me anyway. Have you done a preceptorship anywhere?

Yeah, I'm from Ohio, born and raised. My preceptorship was in a Level 1 trauma SICU. I'm only 40 hours into the 120 required and i'm in love with it. Gun shot wounds, and MVA's for days. Surprisingly, one of the largest demographics i've seen is the amount of elderly on Coumadin who have fallen which often results in cerebral hematoma/hemorrhage.

Anyone else apply for the NICU?

Where exactly did you all "choose a track" was there like a questions and drop down or did you just address your resume and cover letter to that specific unit?

There was a drop down with all the sites and you had to pick your first option then your second option.

Is there an app status area?

Unfortunately not. Last time it took them about 45 days to start making calls.
