SFSU BSN fall 2021

Published

I haven't seen a page for fall yet so thought I would start one. Let me know if you applied and have heard anything about interviews.

This year's application cycle is crazy ? I applied to 11 schools and so far I've gotten waitlisted at 1 and rejected from the ones I've heard from so far.

Oh man! This sucks... I was still hopeful I would get the email but I guess I’ll stop checking now ?

super depressing!

I'm interviewing on Tuesday! Super nervous - anyone doing anything in particular to prep?

Hi! I’m interviewing on Thursday! I’m just looking up generic questions they might ask and brainstorming a brief idea of what I want to say. I’m not going to practice or worry too much I want to sound genuine still. I’m sure you’ll do great, good luck!! Wishing the best for us ?

It went alright! A bit awkward feeling but no different than any job interview I've ever had. Pretty similar questions to other healthcare interviews I've had, actually. Did feel a little rushed though! How about you?

Hello all, can you guys post your stats and your process of choosing SFSU. (Even though their NCLEX pass rate is roughly 82%) And the other schools you are considering. Thanks!

Hi Guys! I applied as a regular BSN applicant for fall 2021 and just received my invitation to my interview earlier today. Good luck to everyone applying!

Hi I was wondering what your stats were (TEAS, GPA, Volunteer Hours)? I'm planning on applying to the nursing program in August but I'm not sure if my stats are good enough. Thank you so much in advance!

Hey! My stats were 89.4% on TEAS, 4.0 prerequisite GPA, 3.88 overall GPA, 50ish hospital volunteer hours, bilingual, and 300+ hours of acute care experience (CNA)

Congrats! Dang. I have similar stats - 89 on TEAS, 3.9 GPA, and 4,000+ hours working as a cert Medical Assistant. Just found out I’m #11 on the waitlist (so, odds aren’t great but oh well). I think volunteering and being bilingual must have definitely helped! Happy for all of you that were admitted!
