Yes! I actually have one, it is so so helpful. They answer questions you have about the program and they're basically showing you the ropes of how the program works/ what to expect.NSA visits your orientation and they basically give you an email to sign up for a mentor. Make sure you sign up before the deadline cause I know a couple of my classmates who did it after and they weren't able to get in touch with a mentor.

All the classes are in person however if you get Covid, they want you to stay home and they will work with you to figure out what to do with the classes you're missing (for example in lectures you wold join zoom, skills lab you would make up). The schedule really varies (especially the first 4 weeks because that's pre-clinicals) so the instructors really want us if possible not to work or if you do work keep it part-time/ as less hours as possible. For example the first week for Wed and Thurs classes were from 7am-4pm but the second week Wed classes were from 7am-12 noon and Thurs class was from 7am-1 pm. (BTW keep in mind they change the schedule weekly for Wed and Thurs the first 4 weeks, so what our schedule this semester was might not be the same for your cohort) The schedule also changes once you begin clinicals. Half of the class go to clinicals and then half does in-person/ virtual simulation and then we switch off after 5 weeks. They explain it more once you start the program but if possible I would recommend not working or if you do try to do part-time because it can get really hectic with scheduling.

Hey! I'm currently in Fall 2022 and the work load is no joke ;-; I'm going into my 4th week and we've had 2 exams and a skills check off done. Skills check off is where they watch you do certain techniques/ procedures that they assigned for you to review. I go to class 4 times a week but some of my classmates go 5 times a week, depending on how you schedule your classes. This upcoming week I have 2 skills check off coming up and the week after that we have 2 exams back to back. I definitely suggest making sure to stay on top of all the materials once you start because there is a lot of reading, PowerPoints, etc that you have to keep track of. It's a lot of work but if you manage your time well it should be doable. Good luck in Spring!

The past 2 years that I've been finishing my pre-reqs I've been in touch with my undergraduate counselor at SFSU and she's been asking the school of nursing questions that I had but she kept telling me how they don't really answer the questions about the admission process and they just tell her to refer to the website ;-; They're like crazy secretive about it
