SFSU A-ELMSN,Spring 2017

Published

Hey ! Is anybody else applying to SFSU's A-ELMSN program for Spring 2017?

I have and applied for women's health... hope we can all go through this process together. Power in numbers!

Me! I applied to the Public Health program. Interview in two weeks

Hi @sweetmemi! Congrats on the interview! I have an interview too. Going to start preparing now and hoping for the best. SFSU is my first choice

Same here! I been prepping on questions to ask after the interview. I really want to impress them

Good idea! 45 minutes seems like an awfully long interview, but I'm sure it goes by quickly once you're doing it. When I went to the group info session before applying I had asked what to expect from the interview. They said it was a panel interview. Like we'll be interviewed by at least a few different members from the nursing committee. So I don't think it'll be a group interview...

Yeah i didnt think it would be a group interview , 45min seems pretty standard.

But Im curious to how many people will be in the panel. I've only had a phone interview with a nursin school before so this will be my first in person interview

Hey guys! CONGRATS on getting interviews! I hope they go very well!

I'm applying to the Fall 2017 cohort for their ELMSN program. Do you mind if I asked you guys about your stats? I'm so nervous about applying and have been second-thinking it just because I've been reading a lot of other threads that mention hundreds of people applying, but only like 20 getting accepted. That number is crazy!

My GPA is decent, definitely at least a 3.0 but I have a lot of health care experience, so I'm hoping that could make up for it. I've done 100 hours of volunteer work at Seton Medical center and have done a few volunteer events at Laguna Honda hospital. I've worked at a skilled nursing facility as both a receptionist and medical records assistant for over 3 years and now work at Kaiser, as well.

What were your guys' strongest qualities for the application do you think? And what did you get on the GRE, and how did you study for it?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just so nervous during this whole application process for all the schools I'm applying to. SFSU is definitely one of my top 3 choices.

Hi there! Good luck with interviews everyone! Mine is coming up fairly soon too! i applied under Pediatric CNS track :)

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!

Yes good luck to you all and ser you tomorrow!

I just got notified I got accepted to Pediatric CNS! so happy! :D best of luck to you all!

@smags congratulations! How very exciting! Do you mind if I asked you what you're stats were? GPA, health care experience, LORs, etc. Just wanted to get an idea on where I would stand. Thank you!
