Hey guys, I thought Id start a thread for the SFSU BSN program since I havent found one yet. I should be submitting everything this upcoming week.

I actually submitted mine just the day before the deadline.

My stats are 4.0 GPA overall and 88% on the TEAS. I also have about 400ish hours on work healthcare experience, and about 130 volunteering hours.

I just got an email for an interview guys!

Just woke up from a post night shift nap to see that I got my interview invitation at 10:56 am this morning! 

I have a 4.0 GPA, got a 90.7 on the TEAS, and at the time of applying, I had about 800 hours of healthcare work experience and 215 hours of volunteer work/underserved community service. I speak Spanish with my patients as well. 
 

My interview date is set for Monday, November 2nd! I’m definitely nervous for it, especially since it’s only 10 minutes long apparently, but fingers crossed it goes well!

Girl you have amazing stats that makes me so nervous I got an interview but GPA is only 3.85 and TEAS is 88.7% ugh and I have 350 CNA experience. You will def get in girl GOOD FOR YOU amazing

Hi again! I am glad you found this thread :). I think about 100 people got the interview, but don't trust my word on that. I was just reading other threads.

Since we got the interview, I don't think our stats matter as much anymore. Now we just need to let our personality and ethic shine during the interview. I have mine on November 3rd at 11:40. Anybody else got it during the same time or day? How are you guys preparing for this interview? I am so nervous for it. After this whole admitting process is over, I think I will have some cardiac issue LOL.

This! If you got an interview, they clearly thought you were qualified enough, so like D99 said, now you just have to make sure to prepare for your interview and let your personality, passion, and work ethic shine! 
 

I feel you on the cardiac issues part ? I’m probably just going to look through tons of nursing school interview questions (and maybe general interview questions too) and try to come up with a response to them and practice those as much as possible! 
 

btw, does anyone know where SFSU does their clinical placements? I know they mention places in the community, particularly underserved areas, but I was wondering if there was anywhere specific and if we ever go into hospitals and stuff ? TIA!
