Seton 2012 Winter Cohort

Published

I wanted to start an updated blog for Seton's RN Winter Cohort. I am curious if any one has been hired, particularly at Dell, for the winter cohort? I have had and interview and shadowed however i have not heard anything from them since the beginning of December.

I would like to start a running blog with people who have applied for the winter cohort so that we might be able to support each other through this process.

Thanks and Happy New Year. :)

Ashleigh,

I'm not in the Winter cohort.........but i'm applying for the next one. any tips? I have a Bachelors in another field (GPA 3.9) and finishing my ASN w/ a GPA of 3.97. I have 2 years as a nursing assistant and very good recommendations, but I will NOT have a BSN. Will they even consider me?

i believe they would consider you to be interviewed. They did mention that they are really wanting to have people with bachelors and that many of the nurses are going back to school for the bachelors. I don't think the GPA is as big as a deal as your reference letters and resume. I would say to make sure and attend the open house and bring your resume with you so that you are able to hand it to the hiring manager. I brought mine and a copy of my license and gave that to all the mangers i wanted to interview with. I then emailed them all and thanked them for taking the time to talk to me at the open house.

I would also say go to the open house and interview with questions. It shows that you are truly interested in the job.

Good luck.

I would call the hiring coordinator at the facility that you interviewed at and ask about the position. I know some people have been notified of their acceptance in the residency. Good luck!
