Hi, I have been in contact with the recruiters from Seton and have completed the paperwork and application process but have not heard much. I log in to the website and my application says Ive been routed to the different hospitals (as opposed to "decline") and have checked with the recruiters but havent been given any real info other than my file is being reviewed. The start date for this residency is mid October. I am wondering if anyone else has been hired or heard much regarding when they will make notifications? Anything you know is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't want to discourage you but when I talked to the recruiter she said that the October program had already been filled. I applied for it as well so I was frustrated to hear that. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Hello Nurse901

Thanks so much for the reply I appreciate it. I think its strange that they would cut the deadline this close but Im wondering, when you spoke to the recruiter did she just mean that they had stopped accepting new applicants because the job requisition was closed or that they had actually hired for the spots....ugh just trying to keep positive that Ill find something :scrying:

Hi, I am applying to the Seton Versant program in December for the July cohort. I was wondering if you guys know what Seton is looking for, previous experience, high GPA? What's the difference between the people who get in and the people who don't?

Thanks,

Mattie

Basically how Versant works is that you apply for any GN opening you choose to apply for, and you will simultaneously be applying for Versant. If you get a job after interviewing on different floors and you take a position, you're automatically accepted for Versant too. So you basically just have to be hired. If you have less than 1 yr nursing experience, everyone goes through that same process when applying at Seton. So as long as there is still room to hire within Seton, there will be Versant spots open. They kind of determine the number of Versant openings by how many new jobs are approved for each individual floor.
