Seton Austin TX RN residency July 2017

Hi I just wanted to start a thread for those who applied to the Seton residency July 2017 program. Has anyone heard anything ? I attended the open house on February 10 filled out my applications on the 12, the recruiter emailed me on the 13th for a telephone interview and I've scheduled it for the 20th.

I got an offer at Seton Williamson as well! I am from out of town and am worried about the distance but I have not been down yet. When you visited, did you feel as if it would be too far to commute there from Austin?

I felt like it was like 30 minutes from downtown. I didn't really care for how secluded it was. I like the city life and there were cows and wind mills, the usual farm look. Also, most of there difficult patients are just transferred to Seton Main. But it's up to what you like!

I did like the facility and I had an awesome experience when I interviewed with St. David's! Everyone was so friendly! Hope your interview went well!

Does anyone mind sharing what the starting pay is for Seton residency program and What job you landed? I will have to commute around 40 miles a day and just trying to get an idea of what we will start off as. I know what the starting pay is for S&W but seton is so much closer.

I'll be relocating to Austin too and I have an offer from Seton Williamson. I am making a trip down there to check it out some more, but i am leaning towards excepting it. Anyone have any advice on accepting it or to keep looking around?

Have a phone interview tomorrow for Med Surg @ Seton Highland Lakes. Has anyone done a phone interview? I did the initial phone interview, but not with a specific unit yet!

I was offered $27.50/hr in Houston....I've heard Seton is around $24/hr, but who knows.

Congrats to everyone on graduating and getting job offers. I have applied to both Seton and St. Davids. I have only had the initial phone screening for the Seton positions. I was offered a position at St. Davids today. Does anyone know if you have to sign a two year contract at Seton and what the starting pay is? At St. Davids it is $22/hr and you have to sign a two year contract. Thanks in advance for the input!

In seton also, you have to sign a contract of 2 years.

Is there any change for $22/ hr during this 2 years? Any idea ?
