Anyone applying to Sentara BSN program this June for Jan 2025 start? I'm about to take my TEAS and curious as to how hard/easy anyone found it! Also if any current or prior Sentara students have any info on the program that is always appreciated!

Hey Elli!
I am planning to apply this Summer for the Jan 2025 semester but currently working on my last pre-req which is Chemistry (pray for me) LOL! I've already taken my TEAS and got a 72.7% without studying. I'd compare it to the SATs but heavier on the Science questions. Not sure if you've already taken the TEAS since I'm replying over a month later but it you haven't yet, good luck!
After speaking with one of the schools recruiters, I was told that there is no minimum pass or fail score that they looking for on the TEAS exam but usually see a score between 68-85 of those who are accepted into the program.

I just took it! I got a 75% and didn't study either. I'm wondering if it's even worth it to retake though. Thankfully I have a good GPA 3.93 so I'm thinking maybe I can just settle with my 75% and not do a retake. Thats good information to have about the average score for students though, thank you for sharing that! Did you end up retaking it?

It's great that you managed a 75% without studying! Considering your impressive GPA of 3.93, you're in a good position. While retaking the TEAS is an option, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons:

Cons of Retaking:
Ultimately, it depends on your personal goals and how much weight the TEAS score carries for your program application. Reflect on whether the effort of retaking aligns with your overall strategy. Best of luck in the application process!
