Sentara BSN program 2019

Published

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the BSN program at Sentara for the 2019 starting class, is there anyone else out there?

I haven't taken the TEAS yet but will be after my last 2 pre reqs any tips on the TEAS v6 teat that may help ?

Thanks!

Tonja~

Hey everyone, a bit late to the show here. I've had an extraordinary amount of key life events going on so I only had about two days to study for TEAS and just got my my score today of a 78, not too happy about it but it's better than nothing for the deadline. Also since everyone seems to want to know the two key components, I believe my GPA for Sentara is a 3.8. Contemplating about retaking the TEAS but we will see due to time. I see everyone is doing good so far, and to the woman that has a 3.3, don't let that discourage you from applying, acceptance depends on the applicant pool so you never know unless you try so I definitely highly encourage you to do so.

Looks like we're extremely close in our GPA and TEAS but you beat me slightly lol. Due to everything currently, I only studied two days but I would say that that score isn't that bad and it could have been worse. I think the acceptance is 25 to 30 percent this cycle isn't it?

A 78% is great girl !!!! If you look in the past like last year that mostly what they accepted and some 80's with good GPA's... so they are accepting 100 students with 40 on the waitlist ... and it's 55% GPA and 45% TEAS ; the academic advisor told us that the GPAS will out weigh our test scores. Have you turned in your application yet ? It's so weird they are splitting up our GPAS into 2 groups this year

Actually I'm one of the potential 5 percent of guys that will be in this class. Lol. It's okay, I know it was a mistake. Actually, it's 50/50 on GPA and TEAS. Yes, I just got done with that today and verified they had everything. 2 groups? From what I know they pick 100 and call it a day, doesn't matter to me as long as I'm in the 100 I'm going to party lol

Agreed everyone has some good stats!! I remember i went to an information session last summer(2017) with Sentara and they told me admitted GPA average was about 3.5 (which several get in with lower) and TEAS was 76-ish. And I agree with Hellosentara on the 3.3 average! It really all depends on the application pool.

Omgeee I'm so sorry lol I just assumed !! Yea so Tyler which is an academic advisor told us during testing that it's 55% gpa and 45% teas but it could be different lol ... ugh I just hope we all get in !! But they do have a waitlist .. which is great because some people decline there seat and they will pick off the wait list thank goodness .
