Sentara BSN program 2019

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the BSN program at Sentara for the 2019 starting class, is there anyone else out there?

I haven't taken the TEAS yet but will be after my last 2 pre reqs any tips on the TEAS v6 teat that may help ?

Omg I finally got my TEAS score! I got an 84.7! Ive been freaking out checking daily cause I still hadn't gotten my score yet. Hoping this with the 4.0 will be good enough stats. Super excited for all of us. Cant believe acceptance letters are about a month away! So another thing i've been thinking about is the fact that I just finished my associates at TCC and i'm hoping it pops up before on my transcript before the last day of application so i dont have to take extra prereqs in the fall.

Wow ! there is no question of you getting in with your TEAS score and GPA lol ! You will get in for sure !!! Thats awesome!

Has anyone contacted the school after their applications were in and asked where you stand or if you have a chance lol I want to ask so bad !!! This wait is killing me

That's awesome ! I got an 84 the first time and an 85.3 the second time, but my highest scores averaged gives me an 87! However, I don't hsve a 4.0! I have a 3.3, so that makes me nervous. I do have a bachelors which she said helps me be more competitive. Idk tho I am like 50/50 on the hope scale!!!

I spoke with the admissions advisor yesterday asking if they received all my stuff and she said yes, and that I was "good to go". Sooooooo nervous about this wait!

Those are awesome stats!! I worked so hard for that 84 i cant see myself geting a higher score its a tough exam. So definitely kudos and you have a great chance! I started looking at all the previous year posts about sentara applicants and the stats were so different every year. Ive definitely heard of applicants getting in with that GPA especially with a really good TEAS score.

How did you end up adding your average up ? I couldnt figure out how to do mine!

I emailed and asked did I need to turn anything else in, she hasn't replied yet. I am not sure if my 3.88 and 80% will get me in !!! Ugh im beyond nervous lol I saw from last year a girl who got in with your STATS, I feel like your TEAS score will carry you !! You did so well !!

How did you end up adding your average up ? I couldnt figure out how to do mine!

Take the top scores from each section, add them together then divide by 4. The score won't be exact, because they factor in the questions they don't count against you. But it's a good rough estimate!

I think everyone on this thread is doing amazing and we are all like one big type A group who are gonna freak out regardless haha!

Oh okay that's cool so would it be a higher or lower score since they factor in the questions ( are you meaning the pre test questions) ? I was curious how they did it .. I didn't know if they weighed differently lol thank you
