as senior better than junior

i was seen my senior nurses was keep bully the junior nurses. they are always ask the junior to do extra work.at the same, the senior is doing nothing. as i consern, in the ward situation the nurses need to work together and work alone.

Unfortunately, some senior nurses enjoy EATING OUR YOUNG NURSES.

Alas, some seniors need to truly GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER OR GET OUT OF NURSING!!!

Senior nurses have more responsibility. They are in charge, they precept, they start the difficult IV's, they are often given more difficult patients to make work easier for the float nurses and new grads. In a crisis, a senior nurse is who you want by your side. This is no excuse for bullying the junior nurses.

What country are you posting from? I wonder if the organization of nurses is different.

i was agreed with you. senior staff is having more responsibility compare with the junior or new staff. if anything happened or went wrong, the sister was looking for the new staff and the senior staff also. Senior staffs are also become the second liner if the sister incharge was not around. some doctors also were ask the senior to follow them during ward round. some times, i was get complaint from the my friend ,the senior was keep asking the junior doing extra work. for me, that was good because the junior can practice on their skill better and become better. the senior have supervise the junior and at the same time they can tach the junior staff.
