So I recently applied to Seneca college and George Brown college, I'm waiting to get accepted. I was wondering, which college is better? Any experiences with either?
Thanks.

Hi there, I'm going into my second semester at GBC, and I think it's a pretty good program. Good teachers, beautiful school with new supplies. I would recommend it :) I can't speak on Seneca though.

I went to Seneca at the King campus and I can say that 9/10 of the instructors are amazing, they all want you to succeed. The building itself is kind of old but is kept very clean. The campus is expanding as I saw a lot of constructions during my last term at Seneca this past winter term.

So I went to seneca (king campus) for prehealth and I must say though the campus wasn't the most up to date the instructors are amazing .
I got into george brown after completing my pre health program at seneca and so far I have nothing negative to say staff is super helpful and nice & the campus is beautiful. I start my program on monday so Ill keep you posted on my thoughts.
Ultimately what led me to choose GBC was the fact it was way closer I didnt want to continue traveling so far to seneca king campus they have a yorkgate campus too but I was iffy about it being located in a mall
Overall you should choose the decision that suits YOUR needs best and will make your time in nursing school more comfortable . Also take into consideration the pass rate each school has for the nursing exam .

The workload of GBC is much heavier than Seneca, and fail rate of GBC is quite high. As long as it is a recognized school, it is really doesn't matter which school you graduate from.

Do you have a reference for your claim that GBC's fail rate is quite high? According to CNO's 2016 nursing registration exams report, GBC's pass rate was 93.7%, whereas Senneca's was 83.1%.
The 93.7% pass rate is for the exam that you write after finishing the two years. Out of the people who make it into the program, somewhere between 40-60% fail, or drop out during the 2 years. (I forget the exact percentage, but you can find it on the GBC site) I'm not sure what it is for Senneca.
I am in the GBC program right now in second semester, and I do agree that the workload is very heavy, however if it is what you want to do and you are passionate it can be done.
@lisa thanks for the clarification, you're talking about a school's student retention rates. Nursing programs need to enforce strict academic and clinical placement requirements to ensure patient safety and it's a good sign (in my opinion) if GBC is strict about their nursing students academic performance.
Seneca was roughly the same. Started out with many sections and about half the sections near the end.
