So as of yesterday the Senate passed Obama's healthcare bill; what does this mean for nurses and future nurses? I know there are other threads on this but they are older so I'm just wondering what will change
what this means that as floor a floor nurse in florida we already have 6-7 patients during the day and 7-8 at night . with that many patients its hard to concentrate and not make mistakes, its hard to keep track with who is who. with this bill passed we will go up with our ratios or maybe get rid of our nursing care techs which we need so bad . and next question is how is the hospital going to get paid without these people having insurance? there has to be pay cuts somewhere in the hospital and it sure as hell is not going to b the doctors pay , prob going to b nurses pay !

point taken. I'm just glad there's at least discussion. Without it I certainly wouldn't be able to comprehend any of it on my own. Not that I take what I read on the internet as 100% fact, but between reading what I can, and then getting different people's takes on what they interpret the information as, I am able to get a better grasp.
