I'm currently waiting for an admission decision from the Seminole/UCF Concurrent Nursing Program. I applied on January 9th - so it will be 4 weeks this Friday! This waiting game is no fun.
My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.76
Science GPA 3.50
Pre-Requisite GPA 3.63
TEAS: 79.3
Side note: to say I was bummed about my TEAs exam is a major understatement. I've been out of high school since 2009, and felt a lot of the material was based off of a lot of what I learned there. On top of that, I attended a private high school. We were not required to take many standardized tests, and I don't have much experience in taking them. Taking the SAT wasn't even in my vocabulary back then (neither was college if I'm being honest). I think that definitely came back to bite me when it came to this particular exam - but, I'm not going to work myself up about it too badly. I've already stressed myself out enough with this entire process! Just keeping my fingers crossed that my GPA is competitive enough! What about you guys? Tell me about your experience so far!
Hi! I'm applying for the concurrent program and these are my stats
Overall GPA: 3.55
Prereq GPA: 3.71
TEAS: 84.7
I already have a B.S so sadly I had transcript problems since the beginning of the year (even though I sent them in October) but thankfully it got solved. I hope the best for everyone!
Me too, girl. I've read every single source I could find from this program! Lol. Have you checked your high school? I graduated in 2009, and surprisingly they had them! I had to have a titer done for chickenpox, and did the TB test. Just need a flu shot, and one other one I can't think of off the top of my head. Wanted to get a head start!
So, I got accepted into Valencia's traditional ASN program for the summer term today! Haha I sort of applied as a backup plan if the concurrent program doesn't pan out. The only thing is - they want an answer by the Thursday the 22nd! We won't know if we're accepted until the 23rd!!! I'm going to have to get on the phone with Valencia and ask for an extension just in case I'm not accepted into the concurrent. I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed that I get into that one though! I'd ike to knock this bachelors degree out faster if possible. Haha!
