Is it me or are those types of questions annoying? They always give me a mini panic attack! I mean if you choose 1,2,3 and leave out 4 the whole question is wrong!! Arghhhh!
Okay.. done venting.. lol
Would be nice but partial credit often doesn't count in the real world for which school is supposedly preparing the student.I wish they would give you partial credit.
I opened the airway and we started compressions but, oops, forget to maintain c-spine via chin-lift...
Sometimes this is an all-or-nothing gig and, while I don't like SATA anymore than does anybody else, I still think that they are appropriate.

I still want partial credit!! lol
The one thing I REALLY hate about SATAs is when there's only one correct answer. OK, technically a SATA could have only one correct response of the lot and still be a SATA, yet we are all so conditioned to look for 2 or more correct answers since that's what they usually have. I had a nursing teacher who'd occasionally pull that on us on tests...and had no mercy when people got it wrong.
So now I've learned that when it comes to SATA, just pick whatever correct answer(s) there are and ignore how many of them get chosen.
Hello all. I am a Nursing instructor with a good tip for "select all that apply"... Treat each answer as a true/false question. Dont try to figure out how many answers the testers are looking for. Read exactly what the question is asking for and go down each answer to see if it fits. if any part of the answer is wrong, it is false.
Ok, I created an account just to reply back to you. I took the NCLEX 01/31/2013, and I passed. Select all that apply are all over the NCLEX. I'm not joking I had 75 questions, and 40-45 were select all that apply. PRACTICE my best advise to you, and I wish you the best of luck!!!
Another thing to stress about!!!
