I am a third semester nursing student struggling with answering the "Select all that apply" questions in my theory classes. Our instructors tell us that the NCLEX exam is using this format more frequently and they want us to be prepared. Unfortunately, these questions are dropping my test scores dramatically, because you have to get everything correct to get credit for the question! I have taken a test taking strategies class to no avail...Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I used Hurst to study and I think it is sufficient. Have you done all the practice tests? When I took NCLEX I got around 60% on the exams so don't stress about your scores. Just review rationale and look up any material you don't know. After you take your test you will doubt that you passed because it's so tricky!! p.s I finished my test in 1hr 30 mins, 75 questions.
Thanks for the reply mmel025:) and yea, I have. I am doing kaplan qtrainer now. My score was 62% in qtrainer 6 and 55% q trainer 7 but I am doing qtrainer 5 and I am getting 74%. Yea, I am not stressing on the practice questions as they dont reflect the actual knowledge but was wondering about the Hurst review. thanks!

Strategies on how to answer SATA questions and a good knowledge of content do work together.
