Do any of you have any recommendations for a liquid drink that have high protein (15 to 20 grams) and fiber (3 to 10 grams) with low sodium (

The intent is for something very portable that I can grab and take with me for those times I may not be able to either have a regular meal or just need something to tie me over until I can have a regular meal.

Ideas?

Thank you.

I like the Pure Protein drinks, which have 30g of protein and only 4g carbs. I get them in a bulk pack at Coscto. Some don't like the taste, but I like it fine. I keep them in my bag always because I like to have a grab and go alternative on busy days. It is perfect. Also great for breakfast when driving to work.

Are you open to consuming so-called 'processed foods'?

I drink Premier Protein shakes. They have 30 grams of protein per 11-ounce shake and come in flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, caramel, and banana cream. These can be bought at Walmart, Sams Club and Costco.

It seems a lot of the protein shakes contain carrageenan as an ingredient. This seems to be a concern per Carrageenan Dangers - Carrageenan Safety | Dr. Weil. I do have IBS-mixed (more of the IBS-C than -D); I'm 53. I'm open to processed foods; just concerned whether carrageenan would be an issue over time. Thoughts?

No clue if that's a problem or not. I have IBS, so oxygen can set off my bowels. *shrug* I have no idea if the website you referenced is vetted or not, who this Dr. Weil person is, and if his information is accurate. I will admit I am almost immediately automatically suspicious of such websites/claims due to my own experiences within the autism community and the conspiracy theories and medical quackery that abounds there. Let me put it this way: if you don't feel comfortable ingesting it, don't. I have not had any problems.

This 'Dr. Weil person' is both an MD and has a degree in botany, has written numerous best-selling books on diet and health, and straddles the line between traditional/modern medicine and alternative/herbal. I've long been a fan, have seen him speak in person, and I think he's very knowledgeable.
