Hello All,
Hope I'm not intruding outside my domain here, but this board seemed like an outstanding resource for some questions I had. To make a long story short, I graduated premed/pre-pt with the expectation of probably going to PT school. Problem was, my interest in the field declined precipitously my senior year and just couldn't justify another 4yrs and 80k in debt for something I wasn't interested in.
So...I'm currently exploring other avenues. I looked into nursing for a while but was somewhat horrified by the lack of job satisfaction. However, the two things that do seem to be in line with my interests/personality is X-Ray technology (RT) and Respiratory Therapy. Anyone here work with these specialists or have some insight into their jobs? Do they tend to be fairly satisfied with their field? I'm gonna try to do some job shadowing, but from what I hear that's getting increasingly difficult to get approval for.
Any insight or advice from the nurses here on the front lines would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks so much!

Gosh - this is a nursing board - we don't have many Rad techs or resp techs here. Have you tried one of their boards. With any field, I would strongly advise job shadowing for sure. Good luck...consider nursing...not all of us are dis-satisfied!
