Hi all,

I have completed 3 years of my BSc Honours Nursing degree and faced many challenges and difficulties. Never been failed before and kept going with faith and determination to become a ‘Compassionate Nurse'. I experienced 2 extremes, one set of placement staff and University Tutors considered me a perfectionist and high standard care provider with all nursing qualities and other tried to prove that I was a failure and do not deserve to pass and not Fit to Practice. Finally I was failed in my last piece of academic work i.e. Dissertation which I resubmitted and failed again.

Still in state of shock and cannot believe how system works where there is a shortage of Compassionate Nurses all over the world.

Considering alternative employment but cannot see any around employment marker with BSc Healthcare degree.

Any advice?

OK, can you get some constructive feedback as to why you failed this assignment?

Rather than rush into a change of career, I wonder if it would be better to take a deep breath, go find your tutor and ask for written feedback and guidelines for improvement.

I know of people who have been failed for all sorts of reasons, including the layout of their bibliography, and the fact that the tutor recognized a patient in a case study, even though it had been anonymised adequately. So it may be nothing to do with the content at all, but simply that the presentation does not meet some obscure criteria.

Compassion is so often lacking in healthcare these days, it would be a shame to lose a potentially great nurse because of lack of direction in preparing a dissertation.

And incidentally, the title of your post does not make sense. What exactly are you asking?

Nursing 'Assessments' needs some improvements with transparency. Your feedback/ comments may shape future of Nursing Training.

I don't know about where you're from, but in US, Canada, and parts of Europe, there is no nursing shortage. I can tell that English is not your first language, so I'm having trouble understanding the rest of your thread
