I am going to Vancouver in July to sit my SEC exams, can anyone tell me what i need to revise. I have read the code of ethics etc but still unsure as what to read'/revise. I am an Adult nurse doing SEC exams in mental health, peadiatrics surgical and medical. Seems that it is all general knowledge and experience is that right?
Please help!:)

Moved to the International forum as many Canadian nurses have no knowledge on SEC.
There are a few threads in the international forum discussing SEC suggest you try looking for them

do you mean "review"?
please do as silverdragon102 has suggested and read the other threads on sec. there is a wealth of information in them. start with this one" faq - substantially equivalent competence (sec) assessments
thanks have read all that information but it does not seem to give you anything that you need to LEARN. What do i need to learn for the multiple choice and short answer questions. Don't feel like i can prepare for it properly!
Or do i just need to go with what knowledge I already have?
The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate what you already know and should have learned a long time ago. As I've explained before there is no pass/fail per se. They tell you what areas you don't meet expectations in and offer suggestions on how to overcome them. You're being held to the same standards as a newly graduated nurse in Canada.
Thanks thats better, just felt i needed to be learning something rather than just waiting for the review.
