Seattle University Transfer 2018

Published

Hello!

Is anyone applying as a transfer next Fall?

Hi Taylorr13,

My interviewers told me that they interview 200 and 80 are accepted. I also saw on 2017 blog that 46 are waitlisted. Fingers crossed!

Specializes in RN.

wow 200 applicants but only accepted 80, SU even more competitive than UW. i didn't ask them how many interview, i thought only 126 since someone said they count only have 126 spot. Now we just have to wait...i am so nervous

I had my interview today and i feel like i did terrible :( Now the waiting game begins

I am sure you did better than you think stephaniek1. I felt the same way after my interview last week. Just gotta stay positive and hope for the best!

Thanks Brad3286!!

This is the last week of interviews so soon we shall find out the best of luck to everyone... I am starting to get nervous my interview is Thursday :) and i my stomach keeps turning with just the thought of it....

Hi everyone, I just had my interview today and also toured SU's Clinical Performance Laboratory... It was actually a nice experience and the interviewers were so welcoming it eased my nerves. But now I feel more conflicted than ever: I applied to both UW and SU, and for the past 3 years I've had my heart set on UW with SU as my 2nd choice school due to its tuition costs. But after meeting a couple faculty members today and having a look at SU's nursing facilities, I'm starting to change my mind and I feel like SU will be a far better learning experience. I even asked my interviewers how SU is different from UW, and they both politely alluded to the fact that SU focuses on teaching its undergraduates, while UW's primary focus is furthering their research (and one of my faculty interviewers used to actually work for UW, but moved to SU). I can kind of see the difference myself, as with UW we had to sit for a 1-hr proctored exam/essay that required us to solve dosage calculations and respond to patient scenarios under pressure, while SU requires a 30 minute interview/"chat" with nursing faculty. Any thoughts anyone? I guess for now, I'll just wait and see if any schools even want me in the first place haha...

The CPL was really great wasn't it? I just received a hand written note from the girl that showed me around thanking me for stopping by and I thought that was really nice. Another pro of SU is the class size. The girl that gave me a tour told me typical lectures are around 20 people while CPL groups are only 10 so the professor can focus on everyone!

I feel like I got a hint from one of the interviewers that I will get in or maybe I am overthinking. I think my interview went good, but there is room for improvements.

Hi everyone,

I had my interview yesterday, and I've read that a couple people commented that 80 people are accepted from the 200 who are interviewed, but my interviewers told me 115-120 people will be getting accepted. Can anyone else confirm this? They also told me about 400 people applied, and that around 40 people will be waitlisted.

Had my interview today as well as a tour of the CPL! Getting really excited and hopeful! Best of luck to everyone!

Hi Everyone, I just had my interview today. I was told that there were 450 applicants this round and 115/200 interviewed will be accepted! Did anyone ask when we will get our acceptance/decline letters? I forgot to ask:). If anyone gets one please let us know!
