Seattle University Transfer BSN 2016

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hi everyone! There hasn't been a thread, so I thought I'd create one and provide some information (just got off the phone with SU).

SU has 80 spots available for transfer students and this year, they had over 600 applicants for those spots. Letters will be mailed today or tomorrow so we should get a response by the end of this week or early next week.

If you are waitlisted, you are not assigned a number. The committee reviews the class itself to see who has accepted. Based on how the cohort looks, THEN they'll review the waitlist and see which applicants match up most closely with the students who accepted.

I hope this information helps. Good luck to everyone :)

Hello! I know this is an older board, but I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the approximate costs are for SU's BSN Transfer program. I am currently researching to enter a program in 2018 and from the website, it appears SU might cost $38K per year but I wanted to verify with a group who would know for sure! Thank you in advance!

Yes, that's about right. That doesn't include books, parking pass, uniform etc. They do have academic scholarship based on your GPA. I pay about 10,000 per quarter with my scholarships.

Thank you Brooke!

Hello, I just came upon this thread and hope I can get some help.

I am applying to SU, I'm pretty late in the process but hope to make the January 1st deadline.

I am wondering if I can get some advice on how to answer the nursing prompt:

" how do you envision yourself as a nurse in todays healthcare system? "

There are no specifications and with a 250 word max, I'm not sure what direction to go... Any advice?

Also, I have my resume, just wondering if I should get recommendation letters or volunteer stuff going as they take a while.... Do they ask for paperwork? Just curious

Please help!!!!
