Seattle University Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) - Summer 2025

Published

Hi everyone!

I decided to create a new forum for everyone who applied to the APNI program for the Summer 2025 term. I applied for the FNP specialty and am still waiting to hear back about whether I got an interview or not.

Does anyone else have any updates?

- Meghan 🙂

General Program Information

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)

Family Nurse-Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (FNP or AGNP)

Certified Nurse Midwifery (CNM)

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)

Hi all! I got a waitlist offer for the PMHNP track, does anyone know how many people usually get off of the waitlist?

From previous threads it seems it's very likely that you could come off the waitlist but the number is unknown because the information has never been given by the school. Hope that helps.

APNI decisions is already out? I saw from previous years the chances of getting off wait-list is pretty high!

Congratulations to you, that's so great! Is this for BSN-DNP or for APNI-DNP?

This thread had gotten a little hard to tell since both BSN and APNI folks are using it.

Hi,

Received my email yesterday for acceptance to APNI AG-Acute Care Dnp! I applied in November, interviewed February 8th. Best of luck to all of u, and I have also heard good things about getting off the wait list 🙂

crossing my fingers for u. I haven't seen anyone else on this thread for acute care so I have no idea about timeline but feb 8th was the latest interview time I was offered so maybe they're going through those before some of the other specialties? I guess FNP probably has more applicants as well. good luck!

Firstly, congratulations to those hearing back acceptances and waitlists as any news is good news!
For those accepted, how long are they giving you to accept or reject the offer?

This isn't super helpful but it doesn't say anywhere on my letter or portal about a deadline for that, but I already hit accept so that may be why. I know you have to put in a tuition deposit to secure your seat. and show proof of all 8 prerequisites (which I didn't really realize since I thought you only needed 5 LOL) luckily I'm only missing 2 and I can test out of them

if you read it carefully (which I apparently did not) you need 5 to APPLY, but need to complete all 8 prior to beginning class in June😬 they let you test out of algebra, and both psych classes via collegeboard tests but the rest have to be classes.
