Seattle University Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion (APNI) - Summer 2025

Published

Hi everyone!

I decided to create a new forum for everyone who applied to the APNI program for the Summer 2025 term. I applied for the FNP specialty and am still waiting to hear back about whether I got an interview or not.

Does anyone else have any updates?

Hi! I am applying to the APNI-FNP program to start in 2026. If you are willing, would you be able to talk through the application process and the strengths of your application from last year? I am about ready to submit, but want to make sure that my application is strong. Thank you!!

Hey! Did you ever get any good info on applications/interviews? I was thinking about making a 2026 post, but I know it's still a bit early.

@Hannah Roy Sorry I didn't respond earlier. If I remember correctly, I applied by early December of 2024, and then at some point heard that I got an interview (it's somewhere in this group thread. If you get an interview, you will likely have an interview over zoom with like 3 or 4 professors and then a group chat with some students. The questions they asked me in the interview covered topics like why do you want to be an NP, how do you handle challenges, approaches to cross-cultural communication and care, working as a team, that kind of thing. I was so nervous and honestly I thought I didn't do that great, but I did get accepted (and everyone else I talked to didn't feel great about their interviews either). I think it's important to have a clear idea about why you want to be an NP, how you align with SU values, and your approaches to inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. Best of luck - hope you get in!
