Hi everyone!
I decided to create a new forum for everyone who applied to the APNI program for the Summer 2025 term. I applied for the FNP specialty and am still waiting to hear back about whether I got an interview or not.
Does anyone else have any updates?

I have a speech disability, which when I'm super nervous like I was for the interview, it acted up way more than it normally does. But I wasn't sure if I should disclose of my speech disability at the beginning of the interview or just not bring it up. I've been given conflicting pieces of advice. Even for job interviews, I wasn't as nervous as I was for this interview since this is the only school I applied for. I want to live close to my home & be able to see my family.
Please don't be disheartened they say coming off the waitlist is extremely likely so you still have a shot of attending the program. When oz comes back next week I would ask if there is anything you can know to further help with your application for next cycle if need be. Don't give up! I applied for 5 schools without a speech impediment and I only got accepted into 1 and I'm still waiting to hear back from this one.

Thanks for the kind words. I had really prepared a lot for the interview due to my speech disability. Literally, I had multiple mock interviews, to make sure I was really prepared. The people who mocked interviewed me, said I answered all the questions really well. But when I told other people about my experience with the interview, and the questions asked, they were all shocked & disheartened for me as well. I just hope I make it off the waiting list!
