Hi everyone! I am cece
I didn’t see a thread for Seattle U APNI program so I decided to make one! I wanted to talk to all of the future student.
I received my offer letter to FNP this morning! So glad and thankful ? I sent an inquiry email to Oz yesterday and that might've prompted it? @marisssa the NP's roles in family practice & acute care are quite different, it's good to consider it! If they asked you, they probably think you're a good candidate
@Emily Congratulations. I am so happy for you tbh. At least you do not have to stress anymore. I have been avoiding having to email her because I don't want to be a bother/pest but I might email her because the fear of not knowing is real. I keep dreaming about SU now. It is so stressful. I hope I hear something back soon.

If it makes you feel better, Oz replied to me and said I will get my decision letter either today or tomorrow. I'm assuming that would apply to you as well. Just a bit more of waiting!
marrissa said:@Alfie when did you email her. I also just emailed her. I swear I want to cry. I graduate this weekend and I don't even care about it because my mind is so focused on the decision.
I emailed her today and yesterday. On a more positive note, there will be other schools that will accept you even if Seattle doesn't. I was admitted into Emory University for their Pre-licensure MN to MSN program so just hang in there!
marrissa said:@Alfie I know there will be more schools but I only applied to one school, so if I don't get in I ma pretty much screwed for the rest of the year ?
Don't think of it like that! Even in the worst case scenario, you'll be able to apply early for the next cycle and gain some work/shadowing experience.
Yes keep your chin up @marrissa! I was rejected from a program that I worked, shadowed and volunteered for 2 years for recently, so I know that all of the work you put in won't be put to waste! There's still a lot of time left for the admissions committee to decide on your application, and there are also other accelerated nursing programs with cycles opening this Summer if you don't want to wait too long for the next cycle (for the worst possible scenario)

Congratulations to Emily! I am also waiting on my FNP decision and believe this is one of the only direct entry dnp programs remotely close to me (I'm in Cali). I also emailed Oz today, but starting to lose hope thinking all acceptances were probably released since there's less than 20 spots. I got into Pharmacy school, and would have to resort to going if I don't get into the program and it's all just very nerve wracking.
