Seattle U APNI Fall 2022

Published

Hi everyone!

I didn’t see a thread for Seattle U APNI program so I decided to make one! I submitted my application for the Fall of 2022 last month. I submitted my application pretty early and I think they don’t start looking at applications until after the deadline. The program is not counting the GRE and waived the application fee due to COVID so that’s good!

Stats: last 60 is 3.5GPA

Pre-requisite: 3.5 GPA

Healthcare experience: 3 years working as an MA in an outpatient cardiology office, 2 years working as an inpatient orthopedic technician, 1 year working in inpatient wound care. Just started to work as a scribe in the ER and working at the same time in research at UCLA!

hoping to meet everyone soon :)!

Congrats!! Are decisions coming with financial aid award letters or any news on when to expect them?

The financial aid office told me that we should expect award package info in early April. (Which I feel like is super late considering it’s a June start date? But I digress…?)

Has anyone gotten off the WL for APNI-DNP (specifically in psych)?

Did anyone start a FB group for our cohort yet? If not, is anyone interested?

Also, what are y'all doing for housing? Anyone looking for a roommate?

I'm also on the WL for psych.  I emailed admissions a letter of continued interest in the school, hoping I can get a slot!

I lived in Seattle through most of 2020, it seems a bit of a right of passage to rent a room in a house of 4+ people until you can afford living on your own.  Personally, I'm likely going to look at a large studio or a 1bed.  Seattle is pretty pricey!

Has anyone moved off the waitlist for FNP? Just checking if there’s been any movement, thanks!

Did you get a response to your continued interest letter? Did you ask if they accepted those letters before sending it or did you just send it? Hopefully we both get in! ?

I didn't get an official response, but in my application portal in my files it shows along with my transcript and resume as "Correspondence." I assume they read it being it was added to my application portal.

I just sent it in! Being that Seattle U is my top program I figured I would let them know that I would gladly accept a slot if offered one, and reiterated my ties with the Seattle community and my confidence in excelling in the program.

Best of luck to you as well! It seems the class size is pretty small, so if we both get in I'm sure we'll get to know one another ?

I just got off the waitlist for APNI-DNP! Congrats to those and best of luck to all :)
