Hi everyone!
I didn’t see a thread for Seattle U APNI program so I decided to make one! I submitted my application for the Fall of 2022 last month. I submitted my application pretty early and I think they don’t start looking at applications until after the deadline. The program is not counting the GRE and waived the application fee due to COVID so that’s good!
Stats: last 60 is 3.5GPA
Pre-requisite: 3.5 GPA
Healthcare experience: 3 years working as an MA in an outpatient cardiology office, 2 years working as an inpatient orthopedic technician, 1 year working in inpatient wound care. Just started to work as a scribe in the ER and working at the same time in research at UCLA!
hoping to meet everyone soon :)!

Hi All!
I am currently in my final year of the APNI program in the PMHNP track, and I want to share a word of warning. First off, I love psych. I want more people to go into the field. However, the psych track is laughably, frustratingly disorganized. We often don't know who instructors will be until the last minute. This quarter 2/3 of students who required clinicals were not paired because the school couldn't find any. Some of the instructors are great. But those are few and far between. You get the sense they are propping up anyone so they can check the box and say we took required courses to graduate. I'd highly recommend finding folks through the APNI facebook groups (the classes graduating soon will have the most to share) and asking about their experiences. I know in our private chat thread we use the mentality is absolutely we cannot wait to be done and out of here.
buyer beware! But if you decide to bite the bullet be prepared to do a lot of studying on your own outside of class materials. The classes will not prepare you for practice or for the board exam, you will have to do that yourself.
cheers

Hello,
Also applying for the 2022 APNI program, but the start date is in June 2022 with applications due December 1, 2021. I have a B.S. in a non-nursing field and am applying for the psychiatric mental health DNP track. I've been working in mental health since 2018. I also teach and volunteer with NAMI.
I am hopeful, but cautious. Definitely nervous. I am shocked at my own desire to do this program as I am older and never thought I would do a graduate program. A DNP colleague inspired me, so here I am.
Hopefully anyone who posts here will be open to sharing about applications, interviews, and other admission related topics. ?

Hi everyone! Thanks for making this thread!
I just finished and submitted my application today. Im applying to the AGNP track and cautiously hopeful. I did my undergrad in history at Evergreen and my prereqs at a community college. My prerequisite GPA is at 3.87 with one more course to finish up after this semester. I've been working in public health and HIV care in San Francisco since graduating evergreen. So, about 6 years now. Anyone else applying to the AGNP track or have any reviews of it?

This program is my #1 and I am really nervous! Good luck everyone!

I got an email invitation to interview two days ago. But I had to search for it in my inbox because it went to my spam folder.
I have not heard from them yet. They said they are not releasing interviews at the same time so hoping!

I wonder if interviews were sent out in groups dependent on which track we applied for. Those of you guys who got an interview, would you mind sharing what track you applied for?
That seems like a possibility! I applied for the Acute Care track but have not heard from them so crossing my fingers!
I applied for PMHNP track!
