How much do you need monthly in Seattle if you live ALONE and have to pay rent

Hi Everyone!

Is there anyone who can tell me please how much it cost to live in Seattle? I am planning to apply for RN residency program. Will the salary as a resident suffice to survive having to pay for the rent, food and have an allowance for gas/fare?

What is the best area to start as a New Nurse?

I am also moving to the area in a few months. It's expensive in Seattle. Like 2200+/month for a one bedroom expensive. But it seems like as soon as you go north of the city it gets significantly cheaper. Like Redmond, Mill Creek, Snohomish. The issue is the commute from those places is going to be awful d/t traffic.

Pay seems to match the cost of living enough. ~60-63k/year for a new grad is what I'm finding. I've never lived on the west coast so I am excited for this adventure!

I am so excited and happy for you! It will be a great start for your nursing career for sure! I hope I will hear from them soon!

How long did you apply before they called you?

Thanks a lot! More blessings for you!
