Seattle Central Fall 2015

Published

Is anyone else applying to the Seattle Central ADN for Fall 2015? I'd love to start a topic for current applicants and encourage Seattle Central nursing students/alum to give some insight into the program. Thx!

Good luck on your application. I'm a current nursing student at Central right now. It's a tough program and feels disorganized at times, but youll get into the swing of things quickly....let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck!

Hi StaceyAnn. I applied at noon on April 1st, getting anxious to hear back. Have you heard anything from the school yet? I know we aren't supposed to contact the school, but I'm wondering when acceptance letters go out since the application period is over. Good luck to us!

Thank you so much RNStdntSeattle! I will definitely keep you posted on whether I am accepted into the program. I believe last year's students were informed by May 9th, so I'm hoping they send out the letters this week. Do you remember if you were informed via your Seattle Central email account or a letter in the mail? I don't think I saw how we would be informed on the site.

Hi Josh! I have not heard anything yet but I believe we should know by the end of the week. Do you remember seeing how they plan to inform candidates? Email? Letter?

From what I've read in the threads from last year, they were notified via email. I'll go in and ask someone if we don't hear anything by the 9th, and of course I'll post here if I hear anything. You'll do the same?!

I received confirmation by mail in mid to late May last year (snail mail) as well as email . I wouldn't bank on that still being the case though. We're in transition to a BSN program and have a new Dean and program coordinator so things may be different.

I have not set up an email account through Seattle Central. Have you? If so, was it pretty simple to do? I'd definitely prefer to hear back via email since that's faster than snail mail.

Good to know! That's exciting about the transition to BSN (finally!!).

The school email is set up through Gmail.....I believe it's your student username.....registration can help you out on that, but if they notify you by email it'll come to whatever account you have on file with the school.

I taught at SCCC in the 80s and loved the program. It was a tough one, though. We used to say it was like doing a BSN in 2 1/2 years. We put out some seriously good nurses then.

I applied, I submitted my application on April 1st at 12:45. The application asked for a verification code which wouldn't allow me to submit my application at 12:00 sharp like I had intended. I had some issues with my application, nothing that should make them reject me, but is leaving me a little uneasy. I've talked to the nursing office at least a dozen times... They seem disorganized at best. I'm expecting the email to be sent out this week. From what I read from the past year they sent out emails on May 9th. I expect by this Friday (May 8th) we should have an answer. I'm so stressed waiting for the answer! This is my first choice in a school.
