I highly recommend retaking the TEAS. Sdsu is one of the most competitive nursing schools out there. their acceptance rate is like a 5% or less.
This is from an email exchange I had with a nursing advisor at SDSU (I didn't get in)
"I do not have final numbers for fall 2021 yet, but for fall 2020, we received 1150 transfer applications and we admitted 57. Again, very competitive pool for a limited number of spaces. The last set of averages I received was for the 2019 term:
Avg. pre-req GPA: 4.0
Avg. cum GPA: 3.96
Avg. TEAS score: 90.7%
Avg. points: 69 out of 80"
That's 2019. it goes up every semester.
good luck!
I actually only applied just to apply; I have other schools I’d like to go to but wanted to apply to a few ? I’m likely going to retake it but sdsu is not my top choice as I’m a commuter student north of SD

what makes things more frustrating for an SD local is that PLNU closed their transfer nursing program last time I knew.. I couldn't apply for fall 2021 to PLNU. It's just crazy. and Grand Canyon University also closed nursing transfer apps!! Like this has just been the most difficult year for nursing transfers ?

Be careful with SDSU. Look into other schools just in case.
I transferred out of SDSU after my first semester. I got into their nursing program thinking it was going to go well but then everyone got the email about "we cannot guarantee clinical placements".
This was way before covid by the way. This was like in 2013.
I do not trust institutions that can't secure clinicals- alot of people suffer and end up not graduating.

Hi everyone!
I applied to SDSU and came across this, so I thought I'd share my stats!
Prerequisite GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 4.0
TEAS Score: 95.3%
Overall, this would put me at 72 points. I really hope this is enough. Good luck to everyone who applied!
