SDSU nursing- spring 2010 applicants

Hey, I am applying to SDSU nursing school for spring 2010. I was wondering if anyone else was and what kinda points they have. I know they made a lot of cuts for the fall applicants, so I know its gonna be hard to get in this semester too. I would appreciate any input.

Hi! I'm waiting to hear on a rollover application from the Fall, so it's good to have others to wait with! :)

Are you straight up applying for Spring or did you rollover your application? (Wait, your questions just answered mine LOL)

The point cutoff for the Fall people was 72 out of 77. I think it will be about the same for the Spring, if not more. A LOT of people at Orientation were at 71 or so points. I was at 70 but have since improved that by re-taking a Psych course. They had to cut about 30 spots due to lovely budget constraints.

Are you going off of the 2009 criteria or the 2007. my points are higher for the 2007 criteria, but Im not sure if the cuttoff was different for the two differnt ones. Do you know?

I was originally going off the 2009 standards, but was told that I was supposed to go off the 2008 ones. I guess it depends on what year you declared nursing your major? I'm completely confused by that, and suppose I should have asked when I was there. :) I do know that my points were higher than I thought, because I was going off the wrong year. Oops!

i'm rolling over too. i was told that i have 69 points which was more than i thought. but i'm retaking a few classes right now so hopefully i'll have enough to get in this spring. good luck to us! :)

hi everyone!

i am also a rollover applicant for the second time now...yea it kind of sucks, but i've been working on my minor. but the first semester i applied it was for spring 2009 and i got provisionally admitted so i was really excited....then i saw my micro grade which was a c+. so long story short i didn't get in, but i have improved that grade now..whew! :wink2: but when i found out it was at the end of december (say dec. 28 or so) for the provisional admittance and the people that got in would hear by january 7th. so hope this helps!

ps: is anyone still going with the fall 06 criteria?

If the point cutoff for fall 08 criteria is 72 i will not be admitted because i got 70-71 depending on teas test so should i even apply the only thing i got too is two B's and if you retake a course it puts you in fall 09 criteria from what i know anyone else have any ideas

I got 3.72 cumulative GPA

3.67 prereq GPA becuase B in anatomy and physio
