SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls

My admissions status is still pending too. Does anyone know when we have to apply for housing and if it is mandatory to apply before a certain date? I only want to apply if I know for sure I will be going here, and right now SDSU isn't my first choice. Don't know if it costs anything to apply for housing or what the procedure is since I'm a commuter to CSULB for 3 years now.

mine still says pending, i swear i am checking like 10 times a day now!!!

as for the on campus housing, i know that you have to submit the applications asap. the only thing that has changed on my webportal is now, where i checked yes that i was interested in student housing, it now says "the housing application is currently open for this student."

personally, i already thought it was cruel to have the deadline to all scholarships before we find out if we are admitted, so i had to fill out all these applications before even knowing if i am in. i dont want to submit all the housing apps too!

i just want to know either way, if i get in, spectacular. if not, i can begin the grieving process.does anyone know how alternate majors work? i applied to health services as my alternate. if i am not admitted to nursing, do they automatically apply me to that?

Cool you are from the same area! Its kinda intimidating to possibly be moving to such a large area from such a small one.

They need to tell us! Early March?! Yeah right SDSU!

Wow May 1st is so soon, we may not even know if we're in by then. That deadline only guarantees a spot for freshman too. I'm a transfer so I don't know how that'll turn out.

Yeah, I love the SD area though. I wouldn't mind moving there :) You live around LB? I actually live 20-30 minutes north of CSULB.

It is soo soon! I mean, considering we have to make a $400 intent to enroll deposit, then another $800 deposit on a room, that we aren't even sure we will get? I may just craigslist it, haha.

I know I will love loving there, I cannot wait! I am actually in SLO county, just north of Santa Barbara.

Has anyone else heard back in regards to their status? I called admissions and they said my status was still "Pending", and they are waiting to hear back from the nursing program to update my status.

Hello everyone, and congrats to Melly! :) Would you mind posting your stats?

I am anxiously waiting for the admission decision too. I figured they would be letting us know by the end of this week since it said early March on Webportal, but I heard that it might take 'til the end of the month.

I was wondering though, if we get in to the university, do we automatically get in to the nursing program (since they're waiting to hear from the school of nursing)?

Thanks guys. I'm sure you all will get in. All of your stats sound pretty impresssive. My overall GPA is a 3.58, Preq GPA is a 3.8, Teas 83.4%, submitted my application to the university and the nursing program Nov 1st. I applied to the RN-BSN program so they don't require students to submit TEAS scores (although I did for the ADN program). I've actually called the admissions office quite a few times these past couple weeks and they told me that admission is based on admission to the nursing program. They also said that ALL students will be notified at the end of the month. Good luck to all of you.
