2024 SCVMC New Grad/Clinical Nurse I

Hi there!

I applied to all 3 as well and got two emails (PCU and Critical Care). I'm in a similar boat where I got a ranking for critical care but not for PCU.

Does anyone know what this means and if we're expected to get an interview (and when)?

Same here w/ the ranking and getting 2 emails so far! Honestly no idea. Some older forums say they heard back for an interview the next day, next week, or a month later. Sorry couldn't be more of help 😕

Yeah, I read that too. But mostly read they heard back the next day not so much a mother later. But I've spoke to another person who received a higher rank and they still haven't been called either.

I just hope there is hope for an interview!

Yeah. Hope we can hear back soon. What was your rank if you don't mind sharing? They ranked me #89 score 81% for CC.

Today received another email for Intermediate ICU with rank/score.

Yet, haven't received an update from previous emails. Has anyone else heard back yet? For an interview/further steps?

Has anyone heard anything since ranking? I've heard they might be on a freeze, but theres no information anywhere.

I actually emailed them yesterday and they responded saying something very general but also how the eligible list would be extended.

What they responded...

Candidates are referred to hiring managers based on the needs of the unit, your answers on the supplemental questions of your application, and your rank on the eligible list. If your responses matches the needs of the unit, you will receive a separate notification of how to contact that manager for an interview depending on where you rank on the eligible list.

At this time, the eligible list is expected to be extended.

I actually have a friend that works at Valley Med and they said that the nurses were on strike for a bit (for higher wages I think?) and they had a bunch if temp nurses come in. I'm wondering if this is likely contributing to the delay? Also haven't heard anything!
