Scripps New Grad RN January/March 2020

Published

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would start a thread for the Scripps New Grad RN application that just opened up for the January and March 2020 cohorts. Good luck to all who are applying!

For those who got offers did HR contact you or did you receive any additional e mail after offer ?

Hiii all I got was a self identification email. Did you get anything else?

Same here... nothing else

I'm accepted to March 2020 cohort at La Jolla EDU . If you are starting in January and for any personal reason prefer to start in March, please let me know. We might be able to switch.

Thanks

does anyone have any insight on how it works after you finish the residency program? let’s say you want to transfer to a different floor within scripps that’s not offered for the new grad program?

i just wanna know more about the transition programs and i can’t find any info beyond emailing the HR coordinator!

Received an offer of employment/ acknowledgement email today! I'm so relieved I was starting to get nervous that I wasn't hearing anything. Anyone else get that email?

From my understanding, they will offer you a position where you did your training, but it is also based on staffing needs of other unit.

Thanks. I think I'm going to call them tomorrow. I'm getting nervous and worried if they got my response for the offer.

I think they typically take awhile to get back to people, I haven’t heard anything from Mercy since submitting my acceptance for the offer letter either. Definitely call if it makes you more comfortable but I don’t think you’re missing any correspondence at this point!

Does anyone here know anything about the Trauma Observation unit at Scripps Mercy SD? I'm having the hardest time finding info or getting in contact with anyone who would know about it. Any info (esp about pt. population, avg length of stay, acuity) would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve worked there several times as a CNA (I float), and it’s definitely one of my favorite units! I’m a little jealous that you get to start there. The nurses are so wonderful. If you give me your email I’ll send you some specifics!
