Scripps new grad program summer 2013

Published

Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

My status changed to hired. I know that they hired over 50 people as stated in their congrats email. Hopefully they still have more calls to make. I know this is an amazing opportunity, and we all deserve it!

Today is also my bday so I got the best gift ever! lol

Happy Birthday!! That's a pretty cool gift!

Those that have heard from the DEU, are you in the june or aug cohort, just curious.... and congrats!

Mine is for the June Cohort...

Congrats! 2 offers is awesome, how are you going to decide and are both offers from hospitals that your panel was from?

My panel consisted of Mercy SD, CV and Encinitas, and I received an offer from CV DOU and Encinitas M/S. I'm leaning toward Encinitas because I prefer M/S over DOU.

eep! I'm like glued to my phone/email. Congrats to those who received offers! It is so hard to get that first job and Scripps would be AMAZING!

I am doing the same thing too!! Hopefully we hear some good news! I'm going to the beach today and try to relax! Hahah

I got called yesterday, May 14 around 4:30 PM California time and got two job offers!! 1) Encinitas Surgical Acute and 2) Chula Vista DOU/Telemetry.

Can anyone give me any info about these units//which one I should pick? haha

congrats! Tough choice. what day was your interview?

I can speak from experience on Chula Vista DOU/Telemetry. It is not a true DOU floor. It is glorified med/surg. The patients are mostly Spanish speaking and the doctors are hard to work with. That being said, I learned A LOT during my first 18 months of nursing there. The experiences were invaluable.

Congrats everyone!!! I was offered a position on either the DOU or the Trauma Observation Unit at Scripps Mercy. I decided to go with Trauma :)

Hoping many of you gets calls as well! Best of luck :)

Congrats SoCalRN and Kamsmom!

So Happy for you guys and all others receiving offers :)

Congrats to all who got offers! On the flip side, did anyone receive a rejection email yet? I know no news is good news, but the suspense is not good for my health !
