Hello fellow new grads!
I'm starting this post to round up all the applicants for the 2013 cohort at Scripps in San Diego. I called HR today and they were rather tight-lipped about when the application would post, and was told "It will post in about 30-45 days" and to "keep checking the website". Enlightening, isn't it? Also to those who applied for the last round and will be re-applying, any tips you want to share for us newbies? thanks and I look forward to hearing from everyone that's just as stressed as I am.
Hey, for any of you that have already taken your NCLEX, how long does it take California to cash your check that was with your application? I sent my application in last tuesday (12/4) and they still have not cashed it, should I be worried? Or am I being inpatient?
Msmith2103: Mine took 3 weeks to process and the check to be cleared. Don't worry, like spanglec said, they have a ton of applications to go through at this time of year.
Hey Alternates,I just got an email from ------------, please check your email! It looks like we are going through the whole pre-employment process and need to be ready if someone drops out, all the way up to the orientation start date.
let's keep those fingers crossed!
Micah
Whew! I was getting worried!
I wish we could find out how many alternates there were for each unit. Guess we'll have to wait some more, hehe. I know one of my friends turned down to position to accept one from Sharp. Does anybody else know if someone turned down an offer from Scripps?
I know! If not maybe a small cohort for us alternates! Wishful thinking!
I actually emailed one of the talent managers and she told me that you need a minimum of three references completed out of the five that you input. I have two completed. I just need one more! Ugh!
ohhhh so not all 5 need to be filled out? one of mine is like super lagging haha thats nice to know then. That explains why she said that all mine have been completed.

They are probably getting a lot of applications right now because of all the december graduates. It took a few weeks I think when I did mine back in June (another big time people are graduating). You should be fine though because after that is done you can register for the NCLEX and everything really fast there are many opportunities to take the tests.
