Scripps has finally opened their applications for the new grad program. Lets keep each other posted on the progress of our applications!
Best of luck everyone!
Hi everyone! Happy to see a thread about this Scripps New Grad. I sent in my application at 9. I started it at 830 and I was surprised it was up early. A coworker said it would be up around 8 to 9ish but It was up I think around 730. I did receive a background check email 3 days later but I have not heard since. My status still says hiring manager review. No interview yet. Also this is my first time applying. So are they going to call for a interview? Good luck everyone! hopefully we get emails or calls soon because I remember on the website interviews were on the 24/25th of this month? thats next week! Goodluck everyone! hopefully we get responses tonight
Has anyone heard back about interviews yet. My application still says submission received. Since, I didn't get an email about a background check I should probably stop checking my email and waiting by the phone:( Those that are getting the emails for the background check and "hiring review" statuses at what time did you put in your application?
It's funny that this went up as I was preparing my list for new grad programs to start looking at applying to next year (hopefully they'll still be taking applications -- I remember looking a year ago and they weren't doing so). I'm just curious as to everyone's backgrounds. I'm not sure on what is considered competitive and I'm struggling finding any information on that. If someone wouldn't mind posting their specs (or mentioning what is generally considered competitive), I would be eternally grateful.
Good luck, everyone! I hope to see great outcomes! :)
La Chica suerte, heres some info that may be helpful to you. If you can or are working in acute care before you apply I feel that it is a great advantage. If you are still in school I know its hard, but it is doable. I was fortunate to get an interview. It could be entirely because I worked for Scripps before. I only have an ADN but I am currently completing my BSN. I have PALS, BLS, ACLS, NIH stroke scale certification, and an active RN license. I had 5 letters of recommendation, all from Scripps employees. Also, it helps to go to the Scripps website and check out their nursing core values and incorporate those into your cover letter. I worked as a CNA at Scripps for 3 years and at UCSD in their float pool. I hope this is helpful. I feel like there are so few people on any forums who got interviews. Possibly they are just not posting.
Has anyone heard anything? I thought the recruiter said we would find out this week but I guess the holiday has messed that up.
Also does anyone know how many people total (internal/external) they interviewed? She said they are hiring 50-60 new grads but I wasn't sure how many total they met with.

Was there an advantage to submitting the application right after it went up? I saw on the website that the posting would close early if too many applications were received but I was hoping so long as the application was open all submissions would be reviewed.
