I'm starting this thread to see if anyone else has heard from Scranton University on their CRNA class of 2017 interview?
Did you guys get your responses in the mail or by email? I interviewed a few days later, so hopefully I'll hear within the next few days!!
I got an email saying that there was an update to my application. From there I had to log into the Scranton app online and then the acceptance letter popped up there. I hope you hear back soon! :)
Just submitted my deposit to reserve my spot today--I am officially a member of the CRNA class starting in 2017! Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!! Would love to meet some of my classmates--we should start a FB group or something?!
Zohhamaze--sorry I don't have enough posts yet to message you back either!! However the posts here are very accurate--the interview was overall pretty simple with just a few "get to know you" type questions about past experiences, current involvement in and outside your unit, very casual!! I'm sure you will do great!
FutureCRNA2017, I think that making a facebook group is an awesome idea! I'd love to get to know my future classmates. Are any of you actually from the area?
I'm from the area! I grew up in west pittston and did my undergrad BSN at the U so I can already attest to how awesome the school is! :) I moved to allentown to work at Lehigh valley hospital and have been living there for the past two years..very excited to be moving back to my hometown though and beginning this crazy ï¸ï¸nursing journey again! Where is everyone else from?
That's awesome! Did you happen to go to the afternoon session of interviews on 10/27?
I got my BSN in California but have been working in Ohio for almost 3 years. Not really familiar with the area, so I'm a little bit worried about finding housing and knowing what areas to look at versus where to stay away from. But I'm really excited about the university! I get the feeling that we'll be well supported throughout the program. I'm also glad that we all have the chance to get to know each other before school starts!
No I was at the very first set of interviews on 10/25! Talk about nerve wracking haha I'm so happy we made it through with a great outcome! :) How did you like CA?! I've always wanted to visit! Do you have family there? I've lived in the Wyoming Valley for basically my entire life haha so I can definitely give you some good advice in regards to finding a nice town to live in! West Pittston is really nice and only like 20 minutes away from the U, that's where I'm from! It's great bc it's right in between the Wilkes barre area and the Scranton area which is where a lot of our clinical sites will be. Kingston, Duryea, and Wyoming are all nice places to live too, as are certain areas of Scranton (not all of them though!). If there's other places you're looking at I can definitely help you stay out of the shady areas! You (and whoever else wants to in this thread) should add me on FB! My name on there is Rachel Sarah. :)
