Hello everyone. I started back to college for nursing about 3 semesters ago. I am going to be starting my science pre reqs now and was wondering which science courses are good or possible to take together and still get a decent grade. I'm in California where nursing is an impacted program and don't want to overload myself because I want to do my best, but I also want to get my pre reqs done. The classes required for the schools I'm applying to is Organic Chem, Micro, Anatomy and Physio. Anyone taken multiple sciences at a time?? Thank you :)

I'm currently taking Anatomy and Physiology along with a GE. It's definitely doable! Material from one class overlaps with the other!
I'd advise you to start off the classes strong, so you won't have to struggle to climb up to the grade you want in both classes. Time management is key! Be able to study for both sciences! Other than that, with the right mindset and positive attitude, you can definitely take more than one science in the same session.

I say it depends on you, what else you have going on in your life, how well you study and manage your time, etc. I made the mistake of taking anatomy, physiology and micro all in the same semester while working two jobs. Needless to say, I had to repeat all three.
If you have other general ed classes to take, I'd recommend doing that, plus one science. Consider taking one over the summer if you can. Do you need to complete prereqs for o-chem?
Those are the two I was thinking of taking together (anatomy/physio). The only other classes I'll have besides sciences are my electives. I'll be done with my maths and English after this next semester which are my pre reqs for chem. I do have to take inorganic chem before organic, but that may be the only chem i have to take since sac state is changing the requirement. I am a stay at home mom as of recently so I have the time to study while my son is at school. Thanks for the responses!

Think it depends on you and how organized you are and how you learn. I will be taking A&P 2 along with Microbiology next semester. My other 2 classes are Developmental Psych & Advanced English Composition which I am taking online. I also work from home part time and have two kids 4 &1.
